Working for HCR

Having been employed at HCR for only 10 months, I’d like to share some observations as a “new” employee.
I have worked at many different organizations, and have never worked for a company that has so many happy employees. I was baffled at first, “How can everyone be so happy at work?” And as days grew into months, I realized what it was. It’s the people.
The uniqueness of HCR starts at the top. HCR is invested in their employees. They offer continuing education and training so staff are at the top of their game. Hard work is recognized and appreciated. It’s the “thank yous” and “great jobs” that make a difference – and you hear those words often. Employees feel they are part of a cohesive team and strive to make that team better.
I think this is why everyone here is so eager to help each other. It’s a common sight to see the Vice President of Clinical Services helping a community health nurse figure out the copier. Or someone from the Executive Team offering directions to new employees who have lost their way trying to find the break room.
HCR already feels more like a family to me than an employer. I actually enjoy coming to work each day. I never thought I’d say that……..
