What does it take to become a Home Health Aide?
- Compassion; a desire to care for others.
- A strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
- A willingness to learn and work with others.
- You must also meet the following requirements:
- Be currently certified as a Home Health Aide or certified as a CNA or have completed your first year of nursing. (We also offer free training.)
- Meet New York State Department of Health medical requirements.
- Meet physical requirements.
- Have a working phone.
- Own a vehicle.
How can I get Home Health Aide Certification?
- HCR offers FREE Home Health Aide training every month.
- Eligible candidates must pass the interview process and be able to read and write at an 8th-grade level.
- NOTE: Training is free to candidates who work at HCR upon completion of training.
